Congratulations to Naomi. Her serving stats look very good: 11 aces and no doubles with 77% of first serves in (89% of points won when the first serve went in)

An excellent tournament for Naomi. Great to see her progressing so well and under her own steam.

From Naomi's website: -

Naomi played a brave match to win 6-4,6-2 against Yulia Fedossova of France in a field that was stacked more like a $25K thank a $10k! She went on court with severe bruising on her racquet hand and also sufferred foot cramps in the 2nd set but despite the pain she never lost serve and broke Yulia once in the 1st and twice in the final set! Fedossova ranked WTA228 has been as high as 107 in the world making this a remarkable week for Naomi culminating in her first professional title. We would like to thank everyone at the Grenoble club for a great event and also many thanks to Suzy Riley and Mouratoglou tennis academy for the training week leading up to the tournament! Naomi flies back to England within the next few hours to try to qualify for the Sutton 25K starting tomorrow.

Excellent result. Well done Naomi

I can't help thinking that the report from her website is lacking a little humility though! Make excuses if you lose, but we dont near to hear about them if you win.

Great result for Broady and a really encouraging week for Tasha Khan as well.

The women's game is most definitely on the up
