I cant believe I put a bet on Sela and didnt choose him here! I also bet on Kindlmann who is up on Canas at the moment and still didnt choose him here. Although thinking about it, I now dont mind who wins!
MTF, up 1 to 1st, won R1 by some distance, as they often do when Billy the Bookie bot does well too. TAT, up 9 to 2nd, had the best day 2 though, knocking day 1 leaders AM.com down into 3rd place. Other teams moving more than 3 places were T4Y, up 7 to 6th, LleytonHewitt.biz, down 9 to 12th (after a less successful day for the Aussies in the AO, including the demise of Cmawwwn himself) and the Dammitaires, down 4 to 14th,
TOP 10
shotgun (MT), up 3 to 1st, ended R1 in the lead, with NiallE (AM) & newbie Anthony Costantino (TN), both up 11 to 2nd= and n3gative (MT), up 2 to 2nd, just a point behind. Co-organiser Imoen (BT), up 8 to 5= in the end after leading for much of the day, and world no. 3 Flintstone (IN), up 27 to 5=, are among a group a further point back who complete the top 10.
ON THE RISE
The average score on day 2 was about 23 and just four players managed to score more than the leader's 26/32. Scotty (TA), up an incredible 319 places to 33=, top-scored with 28/32, 8 more than he scored on day 1, while Mmmm8 (TA), up 94 to 5=, mysterX (TA) & Superbrat (CC), both up 234 to 33=, all got 27/32 - it's not hard to see why TAT shot up 9 places in the teams league, is it!
Bobcat (IN) & Vonce (BT), both up 234 to 118=, and Ace! (AM), up 226 to 186=, were the only other entrants to move up over 200 places.
DODGY DROPPERS
With 18/32 on day 2, phantomatlast (BB), down 324 to 356=, was the day's biggest faller, though the lowest scorer was William (TN), down 102 to 454=, his 16/32 making him the only entrant not to get more than half the matches correct on day 2. Nobody is even close to being in the gorillas' clutches though after a relatively shock-free R1.
By the way, day 1 leader, Vamos08 (AM), down 11 to 12=, had a bad day with just 20/32 (those starting a bit lower down in the more congested part of the table were dropping about 200 places with a day 2 score like that!), but is still very much in contention.
OUTLOOK
As you can see in the WP SLR column on the results page, about a dozen entrants saw 30 of their 32 R2 winner picks survive R1, ranging from IconAlex (CC) in 12= all the way down to Tenez (CC) in 356=. Only jaydu (AM) in 440= and dot (IN) in 449= have less than 20 survivors.
TEAM KO
Seedings and L16 draw based on AO R1 scores, L16 matches to be decided by the 32 matches in AO R2.

An early chance for the Muzzas to inflict some damage on the Feddies then!
I'M NOT DOING 'POST OF THE DAY' THIS TIME, BUT ...
Seen on CC today, Tim says what we're all thinking:
"Presume there will be a cyberspatial tar and feathering for the one heretic on Roger's board who didn't pick him to win the AO... and went for Del Potro instead"
Thank goodness none of the bunnies picked Muzza, eh?! Meanwhile, on BT.net, there's some disagreement over where the GEMs will have the most success this fortnight:
"The French will go deep. Simon, Gasquet, Monfils...." "Yes, but only deep into the lunchtime menu at the local restaurants."

I knew my stint at the top wouldn't last. THe only reason I got there in the first place is because all my dodgy picks were scheduled for later in the day!!

Didnt realise you could view your picks and see who was left.
Ignoring R2 and looking at R3 I have 25/32 picks still in. R4 onwards all my picks are still in. I see quite a few folk have people missing right down to he QFs...
That can all change but at Least Skippy is on the downhill path to the bottom of the pile !
My target is get within the top 100. (Just like all bar one of the GBR mens tennis players !)
