At least he can celebrate overtaking three former top 70 players whatever happens. (Berlocq once got to 66, can you believe it?!)
It's Noumea/Nouméa btw, not Nouema (I'm only saying that because you're likely to be using the word a few more times this week) but all the important stuff looks right (and like it must have been a fair bit of work!)

i didn't mean for my Sig to guilt trip you though, was just a thought that came to me in that i did enjoy these threads. But i get they are so much hard work to do that, save in exceptional circumstances, its really too much - but you did bring a to my face.

My pleasure Count, and don't worry, no guilt trip I was thinking about doing for myself again and your sig just meant I thought I'd post it as well. It definitely won't be every week though.

I was trying to say the Noumea thing was nothing compared to my Brisbane/Doha mess-up this morning, silly. At least I didn't emotionally blackmail her into doing all this work though I'm glad she did, it's very interesting.

Apparently not. There were reports around USO time (when he lost to PHM in R1) that he was thinking of retiring at the end of last year, and indeed he did have an awful year by his standards - Sydney QF in Jan, Sunrise Challenger Final in March, R3 at the AO, R2 in Miami, R2 retirement at Queen's (v Andy), R2 retirement at Wimby (v Gasquet) and 9 R1 losses including all 5 matches after Wimby. Coincidentally, his last win (in Wimby R1) was against the player Boggo just beat, Rik de Voest.
He's been suffering from shoulder problems all year, but apparently he's decided that he doesn't want to give up and he had an operation in December.
"J'ai encore envie de jouer pendant deux ou trois ans. J'espère bénéficier d'un classement protégé, de wild-cards et je pourrais participer à des Challengers"
i.e. he would still like to play for two or three more years and hopes to benefit from a protected ranking (after 6 months out) and wild cards and could play Challengers as well.
Good luck to him!
