Even if every player in the draw had an equal chance of qualifying, the odds of getting 4/4 would be 1 in 4096, so with none of the Brits seeded, 1 in 10000 might be fair odds. LOL

As a side thought I hope the British lads are in decent hotels with decent air conditioning and stuff. Because tonight is one of those nights you don't sleep due to the heat if you don't.
The forecast temps for the next 48 hours are: Tue eve 27 Tue night 21 (!!) Wed morn 30 Wed a/noon 39 (!!) Wed eve 27 Wed night 16 Thu morn 20 Thu a/noon 24
Sounds like it's all about survival in QR1 then the conditions for QR2 might be better. 21 at night tonight though ... ugh. I wonder if the 'extreme heat policy' (over 35) also applies to qualifying, you'd have thought it would.

I'm very stressed about tomorrow actually. I can't sit in 40 degree weather to watch tennis. I fainted last year and ended up in a medical tent for an hour.
I don't even know if the heat rule applies during qualies. It SHOULD because those players matter as much as those in the main draw when it comes to their health... but I'm not so sure that it does.
It's a shame. Qualies are probably my favourite part of the tournament. I love the relaxed atmosphere there
Unfortunately the qualifying players aren't afforded the same privileges when it comes to their health. I remember a day last year when it was 40 degrees during qualifying but the matches were still continuing and new matches starting like normal.
I think I will show up but maybe cool down in the bathroom if it gets too hot. If it is unbearable I will leave. If you fainted last time then I'd say you should definitely leave if you start getting very uncomfortable, your health should always come first.
I heard that the cool change will be early afternoon, so we can always wait for that to happen and then go.
i wonder how many toilet breaks players can take, if it hot maybe they could take a toilet break before each of their service games, go to the loo and cover yourself in cold water from the tap to cool down. Also take ice packs and stuff onto court in your - if you take a lot hopefully they will keep each other cool and not melt so fast.

Santoro had an ice pack last year. every change of ends it was on his head the entire time.
