I understand that Yas does not have a reliable source of funding for trips abroad, so entry into foreign tournaments sometimes have to be cancelled.

After an all Ren semi Final, its a Yas v Jen Final.

Credit to Farley who did well to get to the Quarters, beating Ince.

Clarke beat Ren 6/4 2/6 7/5

The outcome of the match may have been different if Jen could actually volley! At one point she came well inside the service box to take on a short ball and instead of rushing the net she scampered back to the relative safety of the baseline, just like a mini red player would do. I can honestly say I have never seen a player so uncomfortable in coming forward, Jenifer will definitley struggle in the ladies game unless things change, IMHO. I have heard rumours that the LTA gave the Rens financial help to enable them to train/travel and also provided them with there own coach. If this is true the coach wants sacking!

Credit has to go to Yaz, she played a clever third set and exposed Jen's weaknesses, well done Yaz.

A report on the final on the GBTG website.
