Yes, a sad end to a less than brilliant season for Katie. Apart from Naomi (who sadly seems to have disappeared without trace having looked like the brightest prospect of the lot a year ago), she's the only one of the top half dozen Brits to have moved down this year.

However, one positive (I think it's a positive anyway, not completely sure!) is that the drop in her ranking points between last year and this is about the same as the number of points she got for reaching R2 at Wimby last year. So, sad that she wasn't able to use that Wimby win to push on into the top 100, but Wimby points are very dependent on the luck of the draw and at least she has done about as well outside Wimby as she did last year.
