yeah, aparently he has bet 2 months salary on the match!! i cant believe that, it must be a wind up surely?

(although if i had bet 2 months salary, so a sixth or my yearly earnings!! on a tennis match i'd be quite keen to find the result.) 


i can understand langauge difficulties and funny thing comings out of the translators, but these guys (and gals) are clearly loons biggrin

yes ive no idea where it comes from, though ive learnt it from watching the american films with will smith etc, another one is the phrase, its not over till the fat lady sings! very strange.

 thnaks mike - heart break for Ward there, sooo close, i wonder if he had any MP's? youd presume so.

 

good result for josh. comprehsnisve 1st set. didnt epxetc it to be so 1 sided.

 

i guess he has GB no2 and DC spot in hsi sights

 i think this probably come from the old cabaret style stage shows* where the last act of the night was traditonaly the fat lady?? but there are many other phrases to say its not over till its over.

I have always understood "not all over until the fat lady sings" was in reference to operas, operatic sopranos and contraltos being renouned for being on the buxom side. So, the end of the opera.
