Yes, that gets Wardy up to 121 points, which is currently enough for 294th place, so he should be there unless a lot more players around that level are gaining than losing points this week.

Still subject to confirmation, but we already know who the QF opponents are/would be, because they got through a day earlier:

L16: (4) Josh Goodall WR 222 beat Jesse Witten (USA) WR 417 by 3 & 2 smile
L16: James Ward WR 322 beat Jose de Armas (VEN) WR 286 by 6-4 7-6(?) biggrin

QF: (4) Josh Goodall WR 222 v Alex Kuznetsov (USA) WR 301
QF: James Ward WR 322 v (7) Peter Polansky (CAN) WR 233

Well worthy of a mention in despatches in The Times, I'd have thought!  Then again, maybe OEM's keeping his powder dry until he knows the outcome of today's matches... wink

J & J face the third seeds, our old Scandinavian friends, Kristian Pless & Michael Ryderstedt (DEN/SWE), in the semi-final. pray.gif

Great wins for Josh and Wardy again, and good to see them pushing into the quarter finals here, as finally it looks like we are having some good results at the end of season, and they have a decent shot of going on to reach the semi finals

2nd and 3rd matches today then doubles late night.

The schedulers haven't been too kind to them this week - not that it's mattered so far

If Josh wins the title how close will he be to Boggo for GB no.2?

That may just put Josh back in the top 200 btw - he'll be playing (1) Pless or Lugassy in the semis, which will be tough!

He would be GB no. 2 if he won the title.
