Unless I have missed some points to defend this week, the 40 points for reaching the SFs here shpuld see Anne in the top 70 for the first time smile.gif

There are no points to defend, she just loses her 17th best score which is 7 points.

She would collect 75 points for winning which would put her at about 61 in the rankings.

However to do that she would probably have to overcome the little problem of Niculescu, world rank 53 after getting through the SF.

The Brits seem unstoppable this week so if they both get to the final it might be a chance for Anne to get a win over Monica "Brit Basher" Niculescu. wink

Before the ominous threat of Niculescu can come into play Anne will need to win her semi, which will be against the Italian Maria-Elena Camerin who has just taken out Urszula Radwanska. It's another match which Anne on current form should win.

Niculescu just took the first set against Kerber and looks likely to be Anne's opponent in the final if she manages to win her SF.
