In the later matches, great use of a LL by Dr No - clearly that breadstick he was fed in the 1st set gave him some energy! Great win for Marsalek too - that must have been a tense match! It looks like Mathew James was very unlucky not to get a point here - up a set, lost the 2nd set in a t/b 8-6 with a big chance that whatever happened when he lost the set point was what led to his retirement.

That means three definite quarter finalists, while Ken must fancy his chances after Mathew pushed Sekulic so close today, Bam Bam the same after George Morgan and Niall Angus took sets off Insausti in qualifying and Josh is playing a slightly lower-ranked player too. After SIX GB wins against higher-ranked non-Brits today, it's surely too much to hope for 6 in the QFs ...

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
Suberb results for Milton and Marsalek and good results from Dr No, Arlidge and a return to form from Bam-Bam.
I'd expect the Skupster to win tommorow and set up another meeting with Bloomers, and if Milton finally finds some second round form he should he should win as well. Will be tough for Bam-Bam though.
I love the way Flan the man just enters tournaments, pulls out, and then frees up a LL for a Brit!!
The first of the second round results are in... Joshua Milton (Gbr) bt Adrien Bossel (Swi) 6-4 7-6 (7-4) Colin Fleming (Gbr) bt Daniel Smethurst (Gbr) 6-4 6-0
Well... Some extraordinary results here this week... a fine effort from young james marselek..
Although i think its a pretty poor show from Mat James to pull out at a set all.. thats just disgusting,a waste of a chance, but with the score at that the welshman must have been badly injured.. shame
Milton keeps up his 1st round tradition with a solid win over a higher ranked opponent but will presumably lose next round judging by his record of second round results.. me being a british tennis follower obviously hopes he goes deep ibnto the draw....
Everyone saying how bad coxyas draw was but what a mamoth perfromace from ken showing true heart
Another player who caught my eye // who cam through qualies may i say.. was the bad techniqued bernham alridge i think marsa will beat him as he will expose the technical difficulties.
was wondering knew where fitzy was as surely if the guy has any sense he would play futures in his own country before heading overseas... but its understandabkle as many players will follow him abroad trying to buy some dirty points. but i suppose any point isn a point its just that those that are picked up in europe are thought more highly of...
i hope my opinions have been taken on board i will defenatly be a daily poster.. maybe even several a day
