Phew! That was close! I was convinced they were going to blow it in the MTB! Glad they proved me wrong! Great win for the boys. Perhaps it will go some way towards putting a stop to the unkind sniping that is sometimes aimed in Jamie's general direction!
Well done to them on getting a win, as I was convinced they would blow it when it went into the MTB.
Vizner may be available as a partner next year (unless he goes back to playing with Dlouhy again, which is a possibility), and he does have the kind of game Jamie needs to have in a partner (that said, I'd be amazed if the two were a permanent partnership)
Difficult to predict... Let me have a think. But, you know me, I'm always prepared to be proven wrong.
What the heck do I know about owt, I ask myself? Great win, just what the doctor ordered. Now, $1, 000 000 question - can they get through the next round against Coetzee & Moodie?
Next up a clash with the 6th seeds Jeff Coetzee & Wesley Moodie.
First match on Court 1 at 10.00 GMT tomorrow. Doubt they have a snowball's chance in Hades, but stranger things have happened & they've certainly nowt to lose...
I watched this. It was pretty close until 5-5 in the first, after which Murray and Vizner lost four games in a row to lose the set and go a break down in the next. Did well to get back into it but they definitely deserved to lose. Jamie played as well as his partner, but Jamie played all his good stuff on meaningless points. Was pleased to see Jamie serve first out of the pair.
