Despite the loss, the match should be further evidence for the guys that top pairs such as Llodra/Ram are now beatable. They're really beginning to establish themselves. Hutch now got Jamie's British no1 spot in his sights?!
Shame they couldn't quite pull it off this time - & shame they won't be gracing the Paris Masters this week... I'm sure they'll be the first to admit, however, that they haven't had that bad a week &, as an unseeded pair, they certainly didn't disgrace themselves!
On a side note: Just had a glance at the BBC tennis page and I have failed to see any article mentioning Hutchins run to the final this week despite reporting on Jamie's loss in the Lyon QFs - does anyone remember if any of Hutchins previous two finals were reported, in particular the win?
That looks as though it was a very close match. Pity it didn't go the way of H&H but a good run nevertheless. They should not fear anyone they come up against in the future. Are they having a rest this week, anyone know?
There's a snippet in today's ST recording Ross's achievements since the DC.

Why would you expect to see Ross mentioned on the BBC? - he's not called Murray.

Shame to see Ross lose today but another good week and i've noticed that there is never any mention on the BBC tennis page. Seems rather unfair not to mention someone doing well like this on the main doubles tour. Surely that counts as success. Anyway moan over, hope Ross and Stephen stay together and build on this next season. Good partnership.
Another great week for Ross, and it seems ever since the DC his partnership with Huss has just clicked for whatever reason, and they seem to be have been a big threat at the end of the season, and the aim for next season must be to push on towards the top 30 and direct entry to the Masters Series events
