Ouch - what a time to serve 2x DFs in succession ! Back on serve
I lost count of the no of deuces in that game but the stats give some idea;-
Break points saved - JM = 15/17 LD = 1/3

I'm hoping we won't see a virtual repeat of Eaton's end of match collapse here. Jonny's under so much pressure on his serve though - Dlouhy has his 21st bp of the match now!

The pressure is telling on Jonny who saves 3bps but not the 4th: 3-4*

Such a shame after such a long and topsy turvey match for Jonny to lose, especially when he was a break up in the final set as well

Its now midnight Basel local time and the final match of the first round is now 4-3 in the 3rd set. This wouldn't be so surprising except the tournament play started at 9.00am local time - so its been a long, long day for the officials as well as these two players.

Bloomers is on court for his 2nd Rd match at approx 10.30 CET - 9.30 BST Sunday and will play Benedict Dorsch (GER) WR163.

PS (12.06 CET)
J-C Scherrer has now won the final match and fortunately is not scheduled until 4th match Sunday.
