Good to see some of the juniors winning through, hopefully they can qualify and keep on going.

Fleming draws No 2 seed - though he's been beaten by poorer players in last few tournaments....

Simple typo.....Smidster meant James Ward of course.

I must admit I never thought for a second that Jamie Baker would surface here...very good for him.

OOP is out for Tuesday and mad I cant get there...lots of good matches !!!

Saw Evo beat Coxy in Edinburgh....Same again I feel. Fleming got a tough draw but lets see what he can do. At least we will get 3 into R2.

I assume Dan Evans in back in the fold, since he got a wild card. Pity he had to draw Dan Cox.

That was the first thing that sprang to mind when I saw him with the WC.
I think Evo has the measure of Coxy...their first up at 10am crt 7.

A bit crazy that after denying Evo WCs for a few months, the LTA give him one for a tournament he would have got a DA for had he entered, but it's a nice surprise to see Dan and, even more so, Jamie B playing here smile.gif I wonder if Jamie hadn't intended to play here (was maybe thinking of starting with Challenger Q in a week or two) but was convinced to accept a last minute WC.

They've actually assembled quite a good field here with a stronger GB contingent than it looked like we were going to get. I agree that there are some intriging matches in prospect, though not sure the draw has worked out that well from the point of view of maximising points scored.

Colin won 6-1 6-3, my friend was there and said he was excellent, served very well and his slice backhand was working well. Jamie was also a set up.
