RE: Week 43 - F16 Futures (10K) - Glasgow

Marcus is constantly monitored for BMI,fitness levels, blood glucose etc as are all the players at Roehampton.Marcus is well within the normal BMI guidelines, for a top athlete he was told that it would be advisable to lose 5mm body fat to optimise performance. He has since lost around 3mm of that.I think that if the LTA had serious concerns about his body composition they would not be giving him the support that he is currently getting.
I am very well aware when I come onto this site that I may read negative comments about Marcus and other players and that's only to be expected-they will get much worse treatment from our wonderful press if they do reach the top of this sport!

Only just noticed this. The info definitely settles that discussion. Wish I had only 2 mm to lose to optimise performance. wink

Also, with as realistic an attitude as that to what you're likely to read both here and in the press, I imagine you should be ok! smile.gif Just remember that whatever we say sometimes, we (all, I think, though I shouldn't try to speak for everyone) want the best for him and all the other Brits.
