Brits in Rennes in the other two years it appears to have been held:

2007:

Boggo seeded 5, out to Smeets in R1

2006:

Martin Lee out to (1) Dick Norman in R1
Bloomers beat Lacko, Meffert & (2) Patience to reach the QFs, lost 3-setter to eventual winner Tsonga

i.e. One excellent run and six R1 losses in the three Rennes Challengers so far, with Josh still to come. Not a great record.

But the No 1 seeds name is not in bold ? (Beck) I do think that it is more than likely its a techy issue but the winners seem to have their names / score in bold.
