Draw could have been much worse

Klier hasn't won a match since Middle of June (7 straight 1st round losses)

Thats true.  The negative is that Klein was in the top 500 just over a year ago and he has plenty of good results on hard surfaces.  Still, thats quite a losing streak, if Burnham is on his game, it could be another point in the bagconfused

Was he playing Klein again or was it Klier???

Pity he lost. If it was Klier, I have a vague memory of the guy tearing up the British futures tournaments a couple of years ago...

It was Klier, breaking an 8-match losing streak stretching back to June and a 3-match losing streak against Brits (Smethurst, Slabba and Goodall) stretching back to Fed 2007 when he beat David Brewer in 3 sets. I can't remember him tearing up a GB Future but I may be wrong.

What's even more frustrating is that the no. 6 seed was replaced by an LL, so Burnham would have faced a WR 890 for a place in the QFs had he won today.

Klier retired after the 1st set in the 2nd round match. Grrrr!
