But also playing with Prakash in Grenoble as well !

Jamie Delgado also makes an very rare appearance partnering Josh as no 2 seeds

and yes even Boggo is in doubles partnering Brad - (sorry that should be Obradovic)

Amazingly they are only using one court on Monday playing the four quali rounds plus one singles and one doubles ! Rich plays after 4.00 (3.00 BST) - then flies to Romania ?

a) Is it permissible?

b) Do we think they know? Perhaps they're sitting happily in the Alps, completely oblivious to all the head-scratching going on here, each under the impression that the other withdrew their entry to Bucharest!!

MJD! We need your inside information.

I love the fact that the pair they are due to play also got a walkover. And assuming they are there (they are Romanian after all) they will get a WO again to the semi.

This is crazy....what does he hope to achieve apart from racking up his airmiles ?

I could see the point if it was an ATP event and he got a WC into it or something...surely is cant be the money...im perplexed !

Drew don't believe everything you see wink

Even Steve G and the tournament site have this weird entry.

Of course they could be lucky and get winnings and points but on   the other hand they could get a hefty fine for not appearing on court.

This gets weirder and weirder. It'll be fascinating to see how the result of that one gets recorded!

It's not permissible to play in two different Challenger main draws in the same week, so something's wrong here. I thought Challenger doubles entries could only be made by signing in on site, in which case this is even more mysterious.

The alternative is that an entry wasn't properly withdrawn, but who knows whether that was the players' fault or the tournament's fault.

It's bizarre.... surely the fact they didn't show up for thier first round doubles match in Romania would have meant they couldn't have gotten a walkover in that....

Something must have gone wrong here, as someone at the ATP should have noticed that they are listed in 2 different events, which can't happen, although why they are I don't know.

My original thought was that the organisers just put the wrong names in the doubles draw, but if that was the case, it probably would have been corrected by now.

That does seem like the most likely explanation, except that where would they have got those names from in the first place? (unless they've copied the draw from one that Bloomers & Prakash WERE playing in and forgotten to replace the pair in that slot)

I'd write and ask someone, except that I don't want to tirsk dropping them in it when there's a chance that if they did something wrong (much as I dobut that), it might not get noticed!

As you say though, how could they have got a w/o when they weren't even there LOL
