For Richard to be no 2Q there has been 10 withdrawals above him, Slabinsky was 3 above so could possibly be in MD. Does anyone know if he took this up or went to Sweden's futures instead?
It's Cauvard for Bloomers who won 7-6(7), 6-2 today.
Pretty good draws for Boggo and Goodall to start with in the main draw, so they should be winning the first round at the very least.
(7) Alex Bogdanovic vs. Sebastien de Chaunac (with a WC or a Qualifier in round 2) Josh Goodall vs. Qualifier (with Karol Beck or Kristof Vliegen in round 2)
Qualifiers get Goodall, Lacko, Faurel and Stoppini, so Bloomers vs. Goodall may be the best bet if Bloomers does qualify
Amazingly they are only using one court on Monday playing the four quali rounds plus one singles and one doubles ! Rich is the only Brit playing Monday - after 4.00 (3.00 BST) - then flies to Romania ? See separate thread.
Richard and Prakash pair up in doubles.
Jamie Delgado also makes a very rare appearance partnering Josh as no 2 seeds
and yes even Boggo is in the doubles partnering Brad - (sorry that should be Obradovic)
Bit tougher than I'd have liked, but at least Bloomers got the win, and I guess the beginning was just down to him being a bit rusty having been out for a few weeks
Not a good loss at all for Bloomers, and since the grass season he hasn't really done anything - hope he can get in as a LL, but not expecting a lot for him
Yes Boggo had right hamstring injury on Sunday but kept going, perhaps he should have fallen over with the dramatics that Andy Murray did that time when he had cramp.
As a result of Boggo having to withdraw Richard gets elevated into the main draw as a lucky loser and will play 28 yr old Italian Andrea Stoppini, ranked 225 - winner likely to play number one seed Giles Muller ranked 68 in round 2. Richard's match is 2nd on Tuesday around 2.00 BST The 3 qualifying points would have been helpful but at least this way, win or lose he gets a bit more match time
Josh will meet qualifier 21 yr old Niels Desein (BEL) rank 367 but does not play Tuesday -once again only two courts in action.
