R32 : KOUVATSOS, Mihalis (GBR) lost to FLEMING, Colin (GBR) 6-1 6-0

R16 : KRAMMER, Max (AUT) 1 WR1121 v FLEMING, Colin (GBR)

So Colin has his own 'Austrian' to beat tomorrow...Im sure he will win !

QR2: Colin Fleming UNR beat (q1) Max Krammer WR 1121 6-1, 6-3

L32: Joshua Milton WR 942 v (q) Patrick Telawetz (Aut) WR 1307
L32: (6) Sean Thornley WR 830 v (WC) Nikos Serkedakis (Gre) UNR
L32: Colin Fleming UNR v Colin O'Brien (Irl) WR 860
L32: David Rice WR 1026 v James Mcgee (Irl) WR 688

So Fleming gets a bit of Austrian revenge, hopefully Milton can continue the trend. A couple of British/Irish battles as well, the two Colins are doubles partners as well.

I can see points scoring weeks for Josh, Sean, O'bRien and McGee.

Nice to see Colin Fleming qualify again though...

1st Round

Joshua MILTON (GBR) defeated Patrick TELAWETZ (AUT) 6-2 7-6(2)
Colin FLEMING (GBR) defeated Colin O'BRIEN (IRL) 3-6 7-5 6-4
David RICE (GBR) defeated James MCGEE (IRL) (2) 6-3 2-6 7-5

Nikos SERKEDAKIS (GRE) Vs Sean THORNLEY (GBR) (6)

2nd Round

Joshua MILTON (GBR) Vs Bertram STEINBERGER (AUT) (7)
Colin FLEMING (GBR) Vs David RICE (GBR)

3 of 3 in Greece so far!

I'm sure Thornley will win too.  His opponent has a career W14-L65 record.

And Milton gets another GBR victory over Austria. smile

Fleming v Rice will be interesting.

Those are useful points in terms of rankings that the lads won yesterday. The one Josh won, plus last week's singleton, will place him in the 800s for the first time when these Futures points appear on October 6, c.880. Colin and David will be in the top 1000, at roughly 950 and 975, respectively; for David, that'll be a debut in three figures, while Colin heads back toward the top 500, which is where he was before 'retiring' to university.

Unfortunately, it didn't quite work out for Thornley in the doubles, though.  He & Rice lost 7-5 5-7 [6-10] to the Germans, Bloemke & Kleftakos (fine old German name, that! biggrin ):  close, but not close enough! cry  On the other hand, Scottish Colin & Irish Colin had an easy win over the Belgian pair, Gigounon & Goffin. smile  Sean is due to face Goffin in R2 of the singles...

They managed to keep the momentum going today, too, seeing off the Romanian third seeds, Carpen & Cojanu, 7-6(5) 6-4 to reach the SFs ( biggrin ), where they will take on the top seeds (& only seeds still left in the competition!), Danilovic & Paukku (MNE/FIN).  Keep up the good work tomorrow, boys! pray.gif

QFs with rankings added...

Dimitris KLEFTAKOS (GER) WR1517 Vs Joshua MILTON (GBR) WR921
Dennis BLOEMKE (GER) (8) WR846 Vs Colin FLEMING (GBR) WR1078

Both guys have good good chances to make the SF's.

If they did then Milton could well face Goffin who is on a good run.
