missed the first point (according to Count below it was an ace) R wide 30-0 R pass but couldn't say in/out S annoyed must mean return landed just in big serve and huge fh winner from S
S stands at net, shakes hands and thank god that is over.
Well, that was good. Thanks to the Swedes for the coverage; thanks to Kundalini, Jake and Steven for the commentary. I was watching then, at each change round, coming back here to see if 'my' score agreed with our panel. The boys done good!! I agree with Jake's final score, by the way.
Apologies for deserting you at the end of the 1st set, kundalini (I thought I'd posted that I had to leave, but can't find the post now), but JM1138 seems to have done a better job of being the partner in crime than I would have anyway!
How Slabba lost a set there is a bit of a mystery, but hey, he's in the Final now, so who cares.
This is Slabba's first Final since Nigeria F4 last December. He has a 2-2 record in Futures/Satellite Finals as follows:
Nov 2005 - GB Sat Wk 3 - beat Bubka (UKR) 7-6(5) 2-6 6-4 Jun 2007 - Ireland F1 - lost to Ebelthite (AUS) 2 & 3 Sep 2007 - GB F16 - lost to Iwabuchi (JPN) 3 & 2 Dec 2007 - Nigeria F4 - beat Gard (ROU) 4 & 3

The draw is very weak, Slabba really should make the final this week.......and then, I can't see anyone stopping Ryderstedt making the final in the other half
The Shedman knows his tennis.
If Slabba can serve as well as he did in his qf and combine that with the aggressive play on return he demonstrated during his semi-final, then I think he stands a decent chance of winning.
But it has to be said that Slabba's defensive play has been less than convincing in the two matches so he really does need to take the game to his opponent at every opportunity, otherwise Ryderstedt will probably win the tournament without dropping a set.
