RE: Week 39 - Futures F2 (15k) - Falun, Sweden

Well we have one player, an umpire and a few people standing around almost out of view.

Lessons learnt from last time:

1) If Slabba hits a first serves that looks suspiciously long then heads confidently to his chair then it was probably an ace that won him that game

2) If the game has gone to deuce but you're not sure who won the final point, the winner of the previous point is the more likely winner of that game

3) It is pointless worrying about balls sitting on the court while there's a rally taking place because the players and umpire don't seem to care

4) If it was either a df or an inept return into the net, bet on a df more often than not

They appear to have found some ball boys for this match.

Looks to me like Slabba's started with a break.

Then again, I'm not even sure which one's which...blankstare

DJ - yes, limbo tennis is a perfect name for Slabba's dodgy tactic!

Bethan - glad you enjoyed it, I think you need two people trying to follow the match when there are no scores shown, even if it means we end up repeating each other sometimes - remarkably little, I thought, and when we did repeat each other, at least we tended to agree on what the score was, that a point was ambiguous, that a shot was particularly good or bad or whatever.

What amazed me most was that between us, we got the score right in the end, though obviously knowing who won the last or second last point of a game is usually enough.

kundalini - I'm sure I see that roving line judge again!

Slabba seems to have given up on his limbo tennis tactic and switched to moonballing shots out. I think I preferred the limbo tactic ...

Game Rodrigues I think. Good volleys from R on the penultimate point - with a serve like that, he can't get much practice volleying either.

R volley winner Slabs thinks it may have been out 15-0 or 0-15
S into the net 30-0 or 15-15
Looked like a DF to me but not called, S long 40-0 or 30-15
S out 40-15
Then game R

*3-2
