Well done laura on a super week. Some very good results from the 14 year old. It all looks good for the future. Maybe not a bad thing that she lost the semi as if she had made the final can you imagine the press and she could lose early in her next tournament so given her age this is probably just about right, a nice productive step onto the womens circuit. All that talent, we don't want injury or burn out from too much too soon.
I suppose Laura got out of bed in a bad mood today; these things happen. Really just a case of getting her ready for the top 20 and beyond. The restrictions on the number of events she can play make the next couple of years quite awkward but it is time they can use to prepare her.
Laura is the GBR women hope now. She is as good as A. Murray or even better. Can't wait to see her playing WTA tour live in TV. Hopefully very soon. Any chance to gain a wild card into her 1st WTA tour ??

There's certainly a chance, but given she's already getting WAAAY too much hype, don't be surprised if they wait until next year to start putting her into WTA tour events.
"I had only brought enough clothes for one or two matches, so Mum had to bring up more stuff from home, as I hadn't expected to do that well.
"I thought that it was a really good week for me. It was a pity that I lost my semi-final, and I felt a bit tired, but I had played three really good matches before that," Robson said, after her 6-2, 3-6, 6-0 defeat to Maret Ani, a 26-year-old opponent from Estonia.
"I can cope with playing at this level, but they have more experience. I can definitely play with them. It's just a question of getting the experience."
Carl Maes...
"This has been a fantastic week for Laura," said Carl Maes, the head of the women's game for the Lawn Tennis Association. "It was understandable that she was feeling a bit tired at the end, as playing in an adult tournament isn't quite the same as playing in the juniors."
Laura is going for a weeks training in Amsterdam with her coach and then hoping to get a WC for Barnstaple next month.
