So do you think that the LTA are trying to do ME out of a job this weekend !

This is the official Davis Cup preview from the LTA...

The weekend saw the Highland Spring GB team of Andy Murray, Jamie Murray, Alex Bogdanovic and Ross Hutchins begin practicing on The All England Clubs grass courts ahead of Great Britains Davis Cup by BNP Paribas World Group Play-off against Austria which gets under way on Friday.

Andy Murray will be back on court for the first time since finishing runner-up at the US Open in New York earlier this month. The British No 1 impressively defeated Rafael Nadal in four sets to book his place in the final where he met 13 times Grand Slam champion Roger Federer. The 21 year-old has recorded three titles in 2008 including the Cincinnati Masters event in August.

Jamie Murray also enjoyed a fine run at Flushing Meadows reaching the mixed doubles final with Liezel Huber. The doubles specialist has picked up one title this year having teamed up with Max Mirnyi to beat the Bryan brothers in Delray Beach in February.

Alex Bogdanovic will be high on confidence after winning a $50k Challenger event in Granby earlier in the summer. Since this victory, the British No 2 has reached three quarter-finals in a row during the hard court season which have seen him rise back into the worlds top 200.

Having made his Davis Cup debut against Argentina in February, Ross Hutchins has enjoyed a good run in the majors after reaching the third round at Roland Garros and the second round at The Championships and US Open. The 23 year-old achieved a career high world ranking of No 74 in June and backed this up by winning a 106.5k Challenger event with Jim Thomas in Segovia last month.

The Austrian team of Jurgen Melzer, Julian Knowle, Alexander Peya and Martin Fischer have a mix of youth and experience and will provide tough opposition for Britain.
