Yes, it suddenly appeared two weeks ago. And it's a darn good help for those of us WITH our own spreadsheet, I assure you, just one column to look at instead of searching for dates!
I am just setting up my spreadsheet for this week, and dropped all the "defending" points into the relevant column. Then when I was looking at the detail I found that the points to defend as per the column are not necessarily included in the "best 18" scores.
So although it is a big help, you have to be wary.
So basically they just put in that column how many points the player earned in the equivalent week the year before with no regard to whether them points do/don't affect their ranking??

Yes, that's right. Josh is shown as having 3 points to defend, but his 18th best without them is 3 anyway, so he doesn't move. Better than nothing though, at least it prompts you to check whether you might have missed something.
Even more useful (to me anyway, since I harvest the PTD info for my top 25 table for 2 or 3 months at a time) is the addition to the player activity page which specifies exactly when the points gained in each tournament are due to come off.
