By my reckoning (although without ATP rankings it's tough) Alex started the week up 4 at 168. This win takes him up another 2 places above Bjorkman and Patience (neither of whom are playing this week) to 166.

I have the same figure. The only thing I am not sure of, is that I have not checked the Challenger finalists who were ranked below 180 last rankings - it's possible I suppose that one or two of them have jumped up.
Annoying not having updated rankings today! For heaven's sake, the only match outstanding is the USO final, they could have brought out the rankings with Andy and Fed on finalists' points and then amended them after tonight. It's not as though they never make mistakes and have to make later corrections.
benny and the stop dont play today. So thats means Alex should have a day off tomorrow. of cousre their is the doubles but al has a tough match later so i dont expect too much there.
i wonder if Lloydy is there. i know paul hutchins and Annacone are in the states but dont about lloydy, i expect he is tho, free holidays and all and i guess 3/4's of the DC team have been/still are over there
and with a boggo 60,61 score i am sure lloyd wasnt there!!

LOL, excellent performance from the Bogster though and a great way to start the biggest day in GB tennis for over a decade ... rather more than a decade if tonight's result goes the right way!
