The head-to-head is 3-3. All of Andy's victories have been achieved this year. Can he make it four on the trot? If the Andy who played the final three sets of today's match against Melzer turns up ( ), then undoubtedly yes, but if not, forget it...

I'd back the Andy of the first 2 sets to beat the Wawrinka of the first 2 sets, as Melzer is a far better player than Cipolla.
Don't quite know what Wawrinka was doing to lose 2 sets to Cipolla, who doesn't have anything great about his game, and that serve is worse than Volandri's, meaning that you're never too far away from breaking his serve, but Wawrinka is a bit of a specialist in 5 sets matches, as I think only Ferrer has a better record (of those who've played 10 matches), while his record is the same as Nadal and Robredo's.
Wawrinka isn't really a top 10 player, but is there mainly because of those who should be (Gasquet due to brain problems, Tsonga and Monfils due to injury, Del Potro due to only just having started playing properly), and he's never really convinced me as a great player, but always seems to do enough to get the win.
That said, he always troubles Murray and never has it easy against him, but that has been down to the fact Murray has played like a muppet against him at times, especially in Canada where he was awful, but won as Wawrinka couldn't keep the ball in the stadium, let alone the court.
I'm going to say Murray in 4 difficult sets, but it will be another horrible match to follow, especially as Wawrinka is the slowest starter to a match on tour (he always seems to go an early break down, no matter who he plays)
Last match up on Arthur Ashe following a ladies singles starting at 7 pm US time, so could be a very long night or might catch it over breakfast if it goes the distance.
Bah. I can't take the over-nighters - particularly when I would only be following a scoreboard. At least, for Andy's sake, it's a night match and with Hawkeye which should keep him happier.
Surprised that this was the night match, until I remembered that the US TV coverage switches for the second week and the TV station with first choice of the matches they want to show broadcasts the day session, so obviously Nadal and Fish will be on then.
Night match should be better for Murray, and gives him a better chance of winning

I'll have to find the result in the morning.
Hey Mad why dont u keep your mobile just under your pillow on vibrate and I'll text you updates that way your better half can snore on and you can get woken every 15mins or so
Should be on in any second, I have the usual pessimists view on this yet I am pumped, for anyone interested, Sam Adams lager and the occasional vodka should help me through it, Cmon Andy!!!!!!!!!
Needs to avoid a long match as JMDP is crushing an exhausted Nishikori so will be far fresher than he might have been had Kei given him a decent contest.
Don't know what coverage everyone is watching, but I'm on Eurosport International, I really need Del Potro to close this out, so they can concentrate on Andy.
