So Andy takes on another old geezer...27 yr old Austrian Jurgen Melzer who had a slightly easier match today to reach the third round.
Andy leads the H2H 1-0 winning 3-6 6-3 6-3 win in Indian wells this year.
Currently ranked 48 the Austrian has been ranked as high as 28 last year and has won only once on the ATP tour in singles. He has though 4 doubles titles.
The lefty will provide a good test for Andy but I would be surprised if he wins a set.....if Andy plays anywhere near his best that is.
Looking for more composure from Muzza and better 2nd serves.
I'm sure Murray will be delighted when he finds out he's on the Grandstand court - the one without hawkeye!
It's 2nd match on, following Radwanska/Cibulkova, so probably around 1730/1800.
Murray should win this match, as although I like Melzer, he doesn't really have the game to beat Murray, and if it does get close, Melzer is always likely to choke.
That said, Murray will have to play better, especially on the serve, as Melzer will take advantage of that 2nd serve, and won't make as many errors in the rallies.
Murray in 4, with him running away with the 4th after Melzer loses a tight 3rd set in the prediction, something like 6-3, 3-6, 7-6, 6-1
I hope the umpire isn't Carlos Bernardes. I have just watched yesterday's match on the "re-live" part of Eurosport, and he was dreadful - for both players.
Mo Leyhani (spelling?) would be good, he has good eyesight, good judgement and a firm hand over the players.
Edit - oh darn, I've just realised I'm out until about 7pm. Ah well, I would only have been scoreboard-watching anyway.
go to the tennis page at www.myp2p.nl and work your way down the media player streams......for the Llodra match I managed to catch the whole 4th set on one.
Be persistent though, I found that the first 6 streams I tried were all showing a match on Ashe or Armstrong before I found one with Spanish commentary (called Vivo or something) showing Murray
I remember watching that Melzer match at Indian Wells.....he's very dangerous when on, ran Muzza all over the place with that forehand for a set and a half but then fortunately the errors started to come
However if the real Muzza turns up, this could be over in 3
Part of the subscription service, but it's only E4.90 for a month and you can watch the Eurosport live stream or masses of other matches on demand, they seem to be available about a day later.
