Bit of a struggle for Illingworth today. He won 7-5 0-6 7-6(4).
In the doubles: Brewer and Flan had a walkover, Illy and Seator made hard work of of their opponents but eventually came out 6-3 3-6 [10-6] winners, Feaver and his All Black mate lost to Blom and De Rijke 7-5 4-6 [6-10].
He struggled a bit, but at least he got the win, and it must be a big confidence boost to open the week by winning a 3rd set TB. (and it's now 8 tournaments in a row where he's scored points)
And even better news is that Brewer got in as a LL, and faces Mattia Livraghi of Italy, with the winner facing Evans/Feaver
A quick recap of results so far, this time with comparative rankings. Quarter 2 is a bit Brit-heavy to say the least, especially with Brewer in there too now! The winner of his match will play the winner of the all-GB match in R2.

Bah, that's very unlucky for Ed. Banana skin last week and injury here.
Well done to Flanagan. Dresden is surely beatable as his clay record is rather poor.
Evo's path to the semis is clear, though. If he plays his best tennis, I see no one there stopping him.
But Evans must be feeling terrible that he isn't getting to play in Canada this week. His whole career now becomes pointless, actually, as Juniors is all that counts in long run.
Well done to Evans and Illy, and I think Evans really should win another round and get to the semi's here, which will be a good effort for him on the clay.
Illy's reaching the QF's each week now, so the big breakthrough is just around the corner... I can see him winning a futures title by the end of the year if he keeps this up
