RE: Week 34 - US Open Qualifying (Women)

Yeah, I'm listening. Ken says he has a "gaggle of listeners across the UK"

Looking very good for Bally (although how Gullickson with her serve has been broken so often I don't know, but surely even a British girl can't mess it up, although I wouldn't be surprised)

I know nothing about Glatch (and have never heard her name before), but it's a match I'd expect Katie to win, so it looks like a disappointing start (the pressure of Ken commentating on her match has gotten to her!!!)

Alexa Glatch is an 18 year old who was a top 5 junior 3 years ago. In her last 2 tournaments she has beaten two top 100 players, including Barbora Zahlavova Strycova, who has two wins over Katie this year. In my view Glatch is the favourite for this match.

Bally 2-2
Katie 3-5

Then in which case Glatch is probably the favourite then... just as I'd never heard her name before I assumed she was a journeywomen pro around 200ish in the world or something like that, as her record showed she played US Open qualies/main draw (can't rememeber which) a couple of times before.

And Bally goes from 6-1, *2-0, 40-0 up to 2-3* down.... why do the Brits do this every time!!!

Better news as Katie takes a 2-0 lead and Bally breaks back for 4-4
