Anne Keothavong and Naomi Cavaday are in a high powered qualifying for the Pilot Pen event, with first matches already in play because of the US Open in week 35. Their sections are:

Anne and Naomi were very fortunate to draw Alternates, and so far are taking full advantage:

Anne is sailing through 6-2 4-0* but Naomi faltered serving for the set and has been pegged back to 5-5 and has just dropped serve again for 5-6*

Grandin completes the recovery to take the first set 7-5 just before Anne completes the demolition of Alves 6-2 6-0, only having to save breakpoints in the final game

Naomi's really been doing badly this year (apart from wimbledon) :(

No - that is the same week as Pilot Pen - you can only play one event from any calendar week. So Anne's next event is the US Open
