Looks like Clement and Llodra are just too good for them at the moment, which is sort of what I was expecting.

Couldn't get the breakback at the perfect time so serving to stay in it

1-6 *3-5

6-1,6-3. Not surprising really.

Oh well, upward and onward to the USO.

Bad luck, guys.

At least it allows more prep time.

All over, looks like they didn't get a chance

1-6 3-6

Dissapointing but probably expected.

Welcome to the site 'Gary', it's a shame your first post couldn't have been of a more positive nature!

An expected result but I didn't expect the scoreline to be so one-sided, it's a pity that they couldn't have at least made the French pairing sweat a little, as we know how well the French handle pressure wink

I expected the defeat but hoped they could do a little better than they did, as losing 1 and 3 is a bit of a thrashing really, and ends a pretty dismal Olympics for Murray.

But I'd be surprised if Clement/Llodra didn't get a medal, and I think they'll win the Gold medal here, probably beating the Bryan's in the final

Depends which way you look at it, James.

Just how much importance do they place on winning the Olympics as opposed to, what is essentially their bread and butter, the US Open?

I would have thought they would welcome the extra time to prepare on American hardcourts myself, given how close we are to the USO.

So perhaps losing may be advantageous in this case?

I have been out all day and missed the match, but I'm not surprised. I watched their first match and they did not seem to play well as a team - time and time again they were both in pretty much the same place with the rest of the court wide open.

Jamie served a double fault on match point. Obviously they were outclassed but this nervousness when serving out a match or serving to stay in a match is becoming quite a problem. Unfortunately Andy often seems to do the same.
