Hopefully the ITF will make him player of the month and tell us how many players have won two Futures in two weeks after qualifying - there can't have been many. Another contender is Yuichi Sugita, but he lost today and the Futures in Indonesia were about 30% as tough as these.
great stuff surley top 100 has got to be a realistic outcome for evo now
There's a world of difference between winning 10K futures and getting in the top 100.
Great that he's won back to back futures, hope that he doesnt go back to self destructing the minutes he gets back into the LTA fold, but kicks on from here.
But not a world of difference between winning 10Ks at 18 and 2 and getting to the top 100, I think. With enough hard work, it's the most likely outcome in the next few years.
Of course he can fail, but hey! he has a better chance than most players in the world of his age.
"With enough hard work" being the key phrase there.
For a start, Evo needs to beef up a lot if he's keen on getting far (and I'm sure he is).
Hardly a tough thing if you're willing to go to the gym everyday - and he has a lot of time because chances are that he won't be playing much (if at all) outside GBR this year.
Of all tyrannies a tyranny exercised for the good of its victim may be the most oppressive.... those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience
Just to prove the point that some have already tried to make on here:
legend
1. totally worth of respect for any reason
Or how about:
2. A legend is someone or something whose coolness extends beyond all space and time.

Therefore Arka's use of the word was fully justified imo.
Unless of course, we're planning to ban slang from the board?

I mean, a guy has his funding cut off, but he responds by winning two Futures in two weeks after qualifying. The mental concentration required for that should make almost anyone take their hat off to Evo.
Whatever he goes on to do in life - top 20 or a career high of 599 or anything, this is some achievement.
