That should mean top 400 for Wardy smile.gif

I wonder why Josh made such heavy weather of his match.

At least they both won... with Ward playing well by the looks of things, while Goodall struggled, and dropping a set isn't encouraging, but he got the win in the end which is the most important thing.

The order of play is up for tomorrow and both Eaton and Slabba are playing, so it's fairly safe to assume they won their first round matches. I can't find the results for today yet. Expect they'll be posted shortly.

I don't have any real idea about either of their opponents, but if Chris beat the number 2 seed and is playing a qualifier next, you'd think he had a good shot at reaching the QFs. Slabba beat last weeks runner up, so he must be in fairly good form. His opponent, Motomura is about 34 and on his way down the world rankings, currently 321. So it does look like Slabba should get to the QFs as well.

Then again, Motomura beat the number 2 seed last week to reach the QFs. So I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens tomorrow.

Best of luck to Alex and Chris and to Ward and Goodall too, though sadly one of them will have to loose.

Slabba
