It's a very stylish banner :) but what's up with the quality of the pics? The first one is all fuzzy even when it's bigger on the site and the second one makes him look like he's very badly sunburnt. Or is that just on my screen?

I don't know ... if it's deliberate then I can see the idea, but the red rash is a bit disconcerting. It might be worth trying the same banner with proper pics and seeing if it looks better or not.
Btw you can see the rash on the smaller version here too, but I thought that was a compresed preview for here so didn't comment on it as the time.

Proper jpgs were used in the multiframed gif image but the program I am using 'compressed' the image....due to my ignorance of the program. Also gifs can only have 256 colours so it will not be as good as a jpg photo. (bt.net banners...)
I will re-do it later in its un-compressed state and see what happens.
Oh yes, it's obvious the photos are affected, but given Alex's knack for getting the mick taken out of him, it might be best to avoid putting any ammunition on his own site. LOL

For what it's worth, I agree with Steven - I think 'real' photographs would work better. On the other hand, I agree with Count's spelling (has anyone ever said that before?!!) - 'effected' rather than 'affected' here - unless, of course, Steven is speaking tongue in cheek?
