3 Brits make the cut for doubles... unfortuanately Edward didn't make it.

(3) Skoch/Zeleney (CZE) vs. Delgado (GBR)/Garcia (ARG)
Bubka/Stakhovsky (UKR) vs. (4) Hutchins (GBR)/Thomas (USA)
Auckland (GBR)/Becker (GER) vs. Sirianni (AUS)/Zeballos (ARG)

Not great draws, but Hutchins and Auckland should make the QF's though

Aucks & Benni Becker the only pair in action today.

They tried hard, but unfortunately, they couldn't quite manage to emulate Aucks' & Beckers' performance yesterday, losing 6-3 5-7 [3-10]! cry

However, not a bad effort against the 4th seeds and a pair who are establishing themselves at this level. It looks as though the first two sets were competitive. hmm I assume Hutch and Thomo are on tomorrow?

You assume correctly:  second match on the central court. wink

Hutch & Thomo tested Brit nerves a bit, but eventually moved past Bubka & Stakhovsky 6-4 3-6 [10-2]! thumbsup.gif  Their QF opponents will be Tomasz Bednarek & Frank Moser (POL/GER).  Aucks & Becker, however, won't know whether they play the Spanish second seeds, Albert Montañés & Santiago Ventura, or Stépahne Bohli & Jérémy Chardy (SUI/FRA) until late this afternoon!

Looks to me as though the second seeds are out before striking a ball in anger.smile The scoreboard is showing Bohli & Chardy playing Huta Galung & Muñoz-De la Naya. ( hope I haven't missed any accents off the latters' namewink)

And the thick plottens:  Montañés & Ventura would appear to have been withdrawn & been replaced by Jesse Huta Galung & Daniel Muñoz de la Nava (NED/presumably ESP).  There's no R1 result on the site for an encounter between B & C & HG & C, but Aucks & Becker are shown as playing the latter pair in the QFs! confuse.gif

Montanes withdrew from the singles, so he's probably injured... gives Auckland and Becker a good chance of a semi final though!

Well done to Ross on winning today as well, and hopefully we can have a British winner here.

Damn, damn, damn! They tried hard, but they couldn't manage it a second time!  They lost 2-6 6-4 [11-13]. crying.gif  So, it's up to Aucks & Becker now who are on court even even as I type... pray.gif

The drawsheet has Hutchins and Thomas as having won, and they are listed on tomorrow's order of play confused

I'm guessing it means they won, which would be a good win for them.

Auckland and Becker retired 2-1 down in the first set...

You're quite right, FD, & I came on here to report the same discovery!  Presumably it's a similar ****-up with the results to Ysern/Slabba in the New Delhi Challenger yesterday, only this time in the Brit's favour! smile  Not clear from the information on the actual site that Aucks & Becker had retired, though I see that that's what the DS says. cry  Hope that doesn't imply some kind of injury to one or t'other...  At least the third seeds appear to have survived into the SF...! thumbsup.gif

w00t.gif  An easier win for Hutch & Thomo today:  6-4 7-6 (?)! smile  Into the final they go to play the top seeds, Levinsky & Polasek (CZE/SVK). biggrin pray.gif
