how dissapointing to get it wrong
its a harsh opion but i think slabba is well over ranked, i think his true rankings is 300,lot of his points are from nigeria futures(24) the same as reaching a challanger semi but a much weeker draw it was.

I understand the 'inflated rankings' argument but you still have to win the tournament to get the points so lets not be too down on Slabba.

He's still fairly new to challengers.

I think Slabba is taking his luck and building well.

He has made R2 or more of the last 7 challengers he has played. So he is clearly consistently challenger level not futures.

Time will tell if he can make regular progress in to QF and beyond- the next step.

Even minus the 24 points, he still top 375 in rankings.

The OOP for tomorrow matches the draw, so maybe that's a good sign. Then again, they matched yesterday as well. Maybe check back in an hour to make sure things haven't changed. :)

But nice result for Josh, I wonder how he'll do against Tomas Cakl? Will he make it to the final? Be great if he could.

Goodall / Ward won their doubles SF against the 4th seeds Gajjar / Raja 6-4, 6-1. They face unseeded pair Tasuku Iwami / Hiroki Kondo.

So well done to James & Josh (and Conor).

Good win for Josh and this is turning into a great week for him, especially with him in the doubles final as well, so he'd be looking to win at least one of the titles, and is probably the favourite to win both.

Cakl looks in form this week, but I think Josh should beat him, and will have a match against Klein in the final, and seeing as he beat him at Manchester, he could beat him again.

yeh josh is playing tennis like he did when he reached US open a few years ago, i actually thought he played really well against Hewitt at Queens.
