does this mean evans gets an "SE" - you see i am learning
I think probably not, because the Final will be finished before the qualifying sign-in deadline, though once these points go on, he shouldn't have to worry about qualifying for 10Ks for a while, i.e. he'll be ranked high enough to get a DA. Evo has tripled his points in the few weeks since being suspended by the LTA - whether it means he really did need the kick or whether it's just because of the strength of the events held since then (i.e. not that strong) is hard to gauge of course.
But yes, you are learning, I'm impressed

ah ok thx. Is there any chance the LTA will lighten up on him now though and say well done son you have learnt your lesson so will remove some of the restrictions?
i was beginning to wonder why you guys rated him so highly but now its a bit more obvious great result for Evo, now perhaps he can beat Flan and win his first title.
We should acknowledge Matthew Brooklyn's feat in reaching the doubles final in only his second Futures doubles competition - 8 or 12 points from nowhere! What a very nice early 21st birthday present. It's also Kyle Brassington's first final on the tour, just a couple of weeks after his 21st. Well done to both the youngsters!
Not only that, Derek, but they also took the title, beating Flan & Brewer 6-3 5-7 [10-5]. Looks like quite a competitive match, though Flan must have been tired by his exploits in reaching the singles final this morning!
Acoording to ATP Brewer and Glan won the final in straight sets.
Whoops! My mistake! I didn't maximise the window & scrolled down too far... Brewer & Flan did in fact win 7-6(7) 6-3. My apologies to them for the inadvertent error.
Thought Flanagan may get the win if he was interested, but thought Evans would lose to Reix, although he'd give him a good match.
But a 1 and 1 win!!!! That's very impressive (maybe too impressive, but I can't work out anywhere that Reix would need to be by this evening), and he looks to finally have found his game, and the suspension has done him the world of good it looks like.
It's probably better if Evans wins the title tomorrow, but if Flan does win then it would be congrats to him, and hopefully this week will convince him to play a bit more often (cue hideous first round loss next week from him!)
Well done to Flanagan and Brewer on winning the doubles title as well!
hi guys, went to watch my futures event this week and had a great time. really impressed with young dan evans, he looks the real delal as far as im concerned. shame i cant make it to his final tomorrow. flanagan and daniels was an awesome match!! loved ian's forehand, he hit lots of winners and always looked a threat with that shot. also watched the doubles final and great to see an all british final, with the best pair winning as far as im concerned. thoroughly enjoyed my day watching some 1st class tennis, hoping to go and watch some more in the coming months!!!
