Well, QR1 could be worse - three unseeded opponents and a Uruguayan seed! Slabba looks to me to have the best draw. A pity he's probably the least able to take advantage, but he might surprise us.
QR1: Josh Goodall WR 199 v Miguel Angel Lopez Jaen (ESP) WR 175 - seeds are (q7) Falla and (q26) Sirianni QR1: Alex Bogdanovic WR 172 v Lukas Lacko (SVK) WR 218 - seeds are (q22) Cipolla and (q9) Massu QR1: Alex Slabinsky WR 268 v K J Hippensteel (USA) WR 705 - seeds are (q25) Huta Galung and (q12) Capdeville QR1: Richard Bloomfield WR 289 v (q17) Pablo Cuevas (URU) WR 135 - winner may face Peya (c.f. Wimby Q) and the other seed is (q14) Soeda

Not a bad draw at all, and certainly nothing to complain about.
Goodall and Slabba should be 90% certs to win their first round matches, while Boggo should beat Lacko, and Bloomers has a chance to beat Cuevas, whose done nothing since getting to the semi's in Vina del Mar
And none of them have really difficult sections either, as Falla is in dreaful form for Goodall, there's no outstanding player in Bloomers's section, and Slabba's has a load of talented but very inconsistant players
Boggo's section is full of clay courters (other than Olejniczak), so he is still the best bet to qualify
That's one of the best Slam qualifying draws we've had in recent years. No major obstacles for our main hope, Boggo, and the other 3 guys have a decent chance if they perform well. I'm quite excited about our chance of getting a second player to the main draw.

Lopez Jaen (v Josh) - CH=173 (last week), most infamous here for beating the Bogster in RG Q after getting bagelled in the 1st set, lost to Morgan Phillips in 2006 but has beaten him twice since.
Lacko (v Boggo) - CH=133 (Oct 2007), beat Boggo 4-6 6-3 7-6(5) in Nottingham in 2006, 2-1 v Brits since then, the loss was to Jim May in Wimby Q last year.
Hippensteel (v Slabba) - CH=150 (2004), has a 5-0 record against Brits, with three of those wins against Matthew Hanlin and one against Bloomers, but all of them were before he reached his career high four years ago.
Cuevas (v Bloomers) - CH=88 (Feb 2008), a top 30 doubles players, beat Jamie B 7-6(6) 6-3 in the FQR here last year before getting thrashed by Muzza 2, 3 & 0 in the main draw, also has a hat-trick of wins against Morgan Phillips.

From memory Lacko lost to Alan Mackin the same event that he beat Boggo in 2006. Anyway, good luck to the Brits, hope we can get one thru'
