And they take the tie-break 7-5 to polish off the match without the need of a MTB! smile clap.gif  Well done, boys! thumbsup.gif

*  That's the seventh seeds out for the count! biggrin  They'll have to wait to find out whom they play in the QFs, though:  the third seeds, Erlich & Ram, have yet to play Simon's compatriot, Robert Lindstedt, & Jarkko Nieminen for that particular honour (last match on the centre court today)...! wink

Another good win for the boys, and this partnership looks to be working well so far, even if it's likely to be a one-off event.

Only a 2nd QF for Jamie at this level, and this hopefully can get him into the top 30 next week for the first time

Jamie was in the twenties for most of July/August/September last year, Dan, peaking at 28. It would be rather nice to surpass that just before the Olympics, wouldn't it!

Well activeboard clearly cut off the end of my post which was supposed to say first time this year smile

Looking at the rankings, I think this will take him to 28, if no-one else is adding/defending points, so he could well be equalling his best ranking, and will go higher than that if he does reach the semi's

Only just been able to get aboard to add my congratulations to the two. clap.gif As a fully paid up member of the doubles appreciation society, I thought I better register my delight. wink

Erlich & Ram eventually saw off Lindstedt & Nieminen 3-6 6-3 [12-10], so it is they that Jamie & Simon will face at some point tomorrow (OoP not yet available)... pray.gif

They lost the first set 6-3, and it's 2-2 on serve in the second set.

Not looking good so far...

Match over 3-6 3-6. Good effort from a scratch pairing, but it would have been better if they could have made the semis.

Erlich and Ram win 6-3, 6-3.

Not surprisingly really, but a 2nd QF in a Masters Series event for Jamie
