It says on the Vancouver site that the women's matches and the doubles are being moved indoors, which I assumed meant the men's singles matches were staying outdoors. Obviously not.

Not the way I wanted him to win and thought he would win, but I'll take it. At least now all issues of being tired after his efforts in Lexington are gone!

Another title here would be great but it won't as easy as last week. Hopefully he'll face Boggo in the semis (and launch a battle in my head).

The postponing of matches was terrible for Boggo's schedule. cry.gif If he loses against Kendrick, he'll not get much time to go to LA/Bing qualies.

LA is in the same time zone as Vancouver, but it's miiiiles away (1078 miles), so the only chance of him getting there (if at all) is if he loses fast to Kendrick in one of the first matches of the day.

Bighamton is worse - 3 hours ahead of Vancouver and further away (more than 2400 miles). So Boggo isn't getting there.

Hopefully he'll call them up (does he have an agent, Count?) and tell them the story. It's quite possible that the qualifying draw will have byes in Binghamton and maybe even at LA. Any tournament director who has some sense will want to see better fields and will give players wild cards if it can help fill up a qualifying draw.

Or it'll be even better if he beats Kendrick and doesn't need to leave Vancouver!

Sadly his match tomorrow won't be first up on court. cry.gif

So by the time he finishes his match, it'll be like 2:30 in LA and 5:30 in Binghamton!

I don't think they will as they have the option of moving indoors anytime they want. While on grass you have to give players some notice beforehand for obvious reasons, you can switch on hard courts anytime you want.

They played all the women's matches indoors yesterday. Probably they have fewer indoor courts, so couldn't fit in the men's ones.

I think the fact that it is a hard court tournament means that they are going to try and play the matches on a hard court if possible.

I guess they didn't play the men's matches yesterday because either they knew the weather would be good enough today to play them outdoors, or they want to try and make as much money as they can from the tournament as they can't charge as much to see the players on the indoor courts.

They'll have to play the 2nd round today though, so if the weather is still bad, they will be indoors. (which wouldn't be so good for Boggo perhaps, as Kendrick's serve/volley game would be less effective on the slower hard courts, but then he's not had great results indoors, while Boggo has...)

All Women's matches morning and afternoon will move indoors as of 1pm.

Men's match will hold until 2pm (10pm BST) and be decided based on weather.

The Men's matches will move indoors if needed.

Evening feature matches will remain outdoors at 6:30pm.
