Baker should qualify reasonably easily, and the extra 2/3 points will be handy, as well as the match practice.
Not going to be too many great draws around in this event though, although maybe Pless would be the best, especially with his recent Coria-esque serving performances (serving 20+ double faults in successive matches)
if baker fails to qualify and bogo goes out i c this being another boring week of british tennis do we know about possible live scoring or possible streaming as its not like its a 3rd world nation lol
Considering the strength of the field, it's not a bad draw, as Evans isn't the best of players around - he's got a big serve, but not a lot else really, and he was dreadful against Goodall at Surbiton.
Definately a winnable opening match, which would be a decent result in a tournament this strong.
Baker though... not good, losing to Simmonds, and it just isn't happening for him at the moment, as that's a match he really should have won... maybe he should drop to Futures for a few weeks to get some wins together, which should boost the confidence and also get him some ranking points
