RE: Week 31 - Belo Horizonte [35K+H] - 2008.

Update on the Dublin 'song', especially for the grudge match between Imran and me (oops, I mean A.U.H.Qureshi and J.Marray) today ... I realise I'm asking for trouble here, but can't resist.

Deep down in south Brazil in Belo Horizonte
Is where we hope for the result that we all want
Out on a tennis court of outdoor hard today
There plays a GB player called Jon-ny Mar-ray
He never ever learned to play on clay too well
But when he served and volleyed, A.U.H. was in hell

Go go
Go Jonny go
Go
Go Jonny go
Go
Go Jonny go
Go
Go Jonny go
Go
Jonny be good

I should add thatI don't really expect Jonny to win today, hence having some fun in advance, but equally I'll be quite disappointed if he doesn't!

Too right I do - Islay sounds nice, if perhaps a bit wet!

I'm sure we'd behave if there WAS a live stream to watch ... or even some live scores.

Very close and it's good to see Jonny doing well on slower courts.

That's a pretty good effort by Jonny, but oh dear, I daren't show my face on the Rusedski board for months. A pity to go so close then not take the points as well.

Good effort from him, but looks like he just couldn't break Qureshi's serve, and just had 1 let-down in the last 2 sets.

Still, he won a round on outdoor hard, which would have been the target for the week, and if he can win another one or two next week, it will have been a decent trip for him.

Just to compound the agony, Jonny (& Adam Feeney) lost to Qureshi (& Santiago González) again in the doubles, 4 & 2! cry
