Katie 7-6(6) *4-1
There is the double break for a 4-1 score, just so long as she doesn't now try to emulate Anne she should be OK.

The bulgarian breaks back!

Amanda's doubles match is now on the scoreboard.

Anything you can do... I can do it, too.

Katie loses both her breaks like Anne. cry.gif

Now Tsveta has 3 SPs on Katie's serve.

Whew, come on Katie. Great hold for 4-2

Now I'm worried because she seems to be in one of those set/match winning positions that seems to always trigger a long run of lost games.

Delighted for Katie, even if she is agony to follow - I doubt whether Torquemada could devise greater torture! After so many tough losses from winning positions she absolutely needed this one mentally

First win over a top 100 player outside the UK
First win over a top 50 player anywhere

That was torture. How many top 50 players has she beaten now?

My god, following Katies matches is like having a mini heart attack. Glad she won it though. Hope she can go deeper.

A great win for Katie in the end. These women's matches are really a struggle to follow but at least you know you have a chance to come back if/when you get broken, I suppose.

Okay, my question was answered 13 seconds before my question was asked.

Amanda and partner lost the first set 75, but immediately broke in the second set, probably buoyed by Katie's victory scream from the adjacent court!
