I'm not totally sure, but I think Querrey turned down an offer from a college. No idea if he played for a while, though, but he definitely didn't do anything significant.
I agree with you that Somdev's record so far on faster courts on the big stage isn't great, but you're a totally different player after you go pro. You just need to see the records of Jonny Isner to see that - before June 2007, he had made a Futures final but other than that he was losing first or second round (all on hard courts). After going pro, he won his first Challenger and reached a Tour final within five weeks.
But obviously it may take Somdev two or three Challengers before he gets that confidence and Jamie should look towards exploiting that. I don't want either guy to lose.
Jamie will play tomorrow, not before 1 p.m. local time. There are two matches before him, starting from 10 a.m.
Today the updates are not that frequent. Only about twice per set, but that seems a lot given what we're used to with GB Challengers.
It's still pretty good for a Challenger - just getting the results soon after each match finishes instead of having to wait until hours after play finishes for the day to get any of them makes a big difference.
Come on Jamie!

I'm not convinced. The Italian Challengers, inc. this week's in San Marino, all seem to manage to provide a genuine live scoreboard! They put the LTA (& many others) to shame!
It depends on how much money you can put in (that is, sponsors). It's not possible for all Challengers to have that much money and in Lexington, I'm sure that a lot of the work is done by the students themselves (the tournament director is the team's tennis coach, by the way). I'm happy with what we have here and anything more (proper scoreboards, streams etc.) are a bonus.
