Brits keep getting these weird WCs in California. Jamie Baker got one at Indian Wells. confused.gif

Anyway, congrats to her and Anne. Poutchek is definitely beatable, although she has a 2-0 head to head over Anne - 64 62 in Gold Coast, and 62 67(5) 63 in Kolkata, both in 2006.

Just saw that Larcher De Brito hammered Domachowska by 0 and 1. omg.gif

Excellent win for Georgie and a commanding one from Anne. Shame Bally couldn't make it 3/3 but still a competitive match against a solid opponent.

Georgie is third on court 11 (following Morita v Wozniak) and Anne is fourth.

Great win for Georgie.

Its a shame from Bally, if she wants to keep moving up this was a match she should have won but for no reason really shes always done poor in the states.

Hoping Anne can beat Poutchek, she really should be looking at qualifying here.

Well done to both girls. Cracker of a win from Georgie. She must be feeling confident about her next match and Anne should be aiming to beat Poutchek finally and then qualify.

Georgie has been playing for 26 minutes and it has just reached 2*-2 with one break each There were 14 break points in the first 4 games!

If you thought Savchuk's serving was bad (17dfs) then you want to see Puchkova's stats (9 dfs in 4 service games). Georgie must be putting a hex on her opponents.

Georgie goes up 4-2 but I'm not really impressed considering she's won only 6 second serve points on her own account. With 16 Dfs, Puchkova should be winning next to no points on her second serve.. But shes won 11.
