Either he's going to try ATP qualifying over the LA and Washington weeks, or he just wants a week off. (hope he tries qualifying, but I guess we'll get a better idea when the Bronx list comes out next week, as if he's entered for that, he's probably just taking a week off)

Just Jonny Marray remains in Brazil on that week as well, as Slabba, Goodall, Eaton and Ward fly out to India to play in a very weak challenger (Goodall will be 2nd seed)

Maybe Brad's making him play since he's from California? Anyway, I like it - on such a big trip, you should definitely go for at least one Tour qualies.

I hope he doesn't come back to Europe. confused.gif

The Count was kind enough to text the result to me while I was away - made my day smile.gif (and not only because my silly 'u dumb choker' reference proved to be spectacularly accurate wink)

We called the bottom right a few weeks ago, but even though it was always clear that at Alex's level at that time, a Challenger win would be worth about 50 places, I don't think any of us expected him to get back into the top 200 quite this quickly. biggrin

Someone brought up the idea earlier this week that Alex doesn't tend to choke once he's reached the later rounds of a tournament, so I propose a new nickname for him (not that I expect it to catch on!) - PMG.

PMG? Well, as Davydenko is called PMK ("poor man's Kafelnikov") by some, Boggo should be "poor man's Gasquet" (or Gonzo, take your pick) wink ... there's a compliment for him hiding in there somewhere too! smile
