It can't have been too serious if she got up and played two more sets. I guess it's pretty hot in Italy this time of year.

I doubt she collapsed physically. They presumably meant she collapsed in the sense that she only won 3 more games.

Shame Katie couldn't win this, but Lourdes is an experienced clay courter. I was surprised to see Katie entering these clay events, but I guess her ranking allows it and it would be equally tough playing the US 50Ks, and even tougher at the US Tier I and IIs. Hopefully she can pick up some points and get back to where she was before the Wimbledon points came off.
