Eaton's New Hitting Partner

Anyone see on BBC that Chris Eaton has found a new hitting partner in.........Roger Federer! Unbelievable really to think of this less than a month ago that Eaton would be warming up with the world number 1. Just shows his meteoric rise to public knowledge. This can only be a good thing for Chris

Yeah, seen that. Not quite in the same league as Adam Lownsbrough hitting with Justine Henin but still cool lol

It's covered at http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/main.jhtml?xml=/sport/2006/07/09/stdiar09.xml - it's been brought up once or twice here, the last time was on the Dee thread. John's got a good memory smile

"There was a shock for Justine Henin-Hardenne during a practice session in Eastbourne while she prepared for the Championships. The Belgian world No 5 hit with Adam Lownsbrough, a British no-hoper who is barely up to county standard. Henin-Hardenne looked surprised as the Briton, who has never won more than five games during his 41 consecutive defeats on the ITF circuit and has lost 6-0, 6-0 on nine occasions, shanked the ball all over Devonshire Park."

Unfortunately Chris opted not to go for Newport qualies which is a shame as he would easily have made it.....cut ended at 1253

bit disappointing as he's now missed two tourneys - Dublin and Newport with potential big pts which would have been ideal for his game

Yes, I agree, I'm amazed he's not taking more advantage of what should be the best part of the year for him, though I guess he must have his reasons. Those 12 months until the Wimbledon points go off are going to pass all too quickly, especially those parts of the season when there aren't any fast court tournament to play.
