Second on Centre, after Anne Keothovong v Venus W.
This should be a very different match from the Santoro one and I doubt if it will be as entertaining. Xavier has not had a particularly good year, quarters in Chennai and L16 in Miami but first and second round defeats everywhere else.
So Andy has taken up residence on Centre Court then I kind of thought that for this one match he might have to "slum it" on No 1 court ! I can't see a potential match against Robredo / Haas or any subsequent matches being anywhere else.
I find myself very confindent about this match, and take Andy to win in 3 sets ( which worries me in itself, oh I should stop worrying about not being worried !! )
PS : I see there is still not a Schedule of Play on wimbledon.org, which I took it was maybe due to the fact that it is 8.50 pm and we still have 6 men's singles matches in progress ! But must have been decided for Centre Court at least.
Mm, looks as if after sharing their opening 2 sets in each of their matches, Ferrer, Berdych and Verdasco are trying to help out the schedulers by making a sprint for home in the 3rd and 4th sets.
PS : And by 9.25, magically the last 6 matches had all finished, like as if they were told : "Just get them over with , please !"
Murray should win this as Malisse hasn't done anything this year to suggest he's got the beating of Murray today, but he'll have to be careful as if Malisse does manage to find his game then he can hit players off the court.
Murray in 3 would be my prediction, but I think there may be a tiebreak in there, combined with 2 sets of 6-2/6-3 style scorelines
